United States Bank Account
If you have property in Florida, it's probably a good idea to create a bank account locally where you have your property.
We have read many places that it is almost impossible for foreigners to open an account in a US bank. It is not the case when you own an apartment / house in the US.
However, you must expect to have to deal with a number of documents such as passports, driving licenses and example invoices from suppliers addressed to your name with your real estate address. The bank will inform you about the paperwork that must be submitted when opening the account.
Remember also that if more than one person shall dispose the same account, anyone who will operate the account encounter along the bank.
With its own account in Florida, it's easy to pay (auto move) fixed bills that come related electricity, water, insurance, mm. You get, yes you read correctly, checkbook and you can also be issued VISA debit card. And then avoids all charges by transfers.
You can say what you want about US banks, but they are relatively bureaucratic. In some areas they are the forefront of modern solutions while still there exists "Stone Age" solutions... checks.

But you'll probably not be using checks that often. In our experience, we use a check when we pay a pool guy, handyman, etc. Otherwise, the use of credit cards is common.
Otherwise the expression "cash is king" certainly applicable in the United States. Most can be paid cash in daily life. We have experienced times where we stopped at a gas station where only payment was cash or check.
There is no problem to transfer money from a Norwegian bank to your US bank, or vice versa, but be aware that the US banks charge relatively well paid in the form of expensive fees.
Then it only remains to choose a bank.
